'STRANGER THINGS 5" Will NOT Be Bringing Back Eduardo Franco’s Argyle

Maybe less is more. Filming is officially on and running for STRANGER THINGS 5 for Netflix. This is the final season of the hit show and all your favorite characters are back…except one.

One of the new characters introduced in “Stranger Things 4” was Eduardo Franco’s Argyle, the stoner employee of Surfer Boy Pizza who ended up playing a pivotal role in the season’s California-set events. Like most characters on the show, audiences ended up falling in love with Argyle, but don’t expect to see the character return in “Stranger Things 5.”

Franco reveals on the Steve Varley Show, “I never got a phone call. So yeah, I think that’s it.”

Of course, just because the main series is coming to an end doesn’t mean future “Stranger Things” projects aren’t on the way. Could we be seeing spinoff shows in the future?

The Duffer Brothers tease, “There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of Stranger Things; new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes.”
