'MONSTER HIGH: THE MOVIE' Dolls Get Their Own Live Action Feature

 

MONSTER HIGH, Mattel’s doll line that features the daughters of classic monsters including Frankie Stein, Draculaura and Clawdeen Wolf, is coming back to life with 2 new projects that are for sure to please fans of the property.

First up we have a live-action “Monster High” television movie-musical in the works and coming very soon, along with a brand new animated series!

The film is being done by Nickelodeon and Mattel, and will be coming to Nickelodeon and Paramount+ this Fall, and character posters introduce the live-action versions of the dolls this afternoon.

Miia Harris, Ceci Balagot, Nayah Damasen, Case Walker, Kyle Selig, Marci T. House, Scotch Ellis Loring, Steve Valentine, Jy Prishkulnik, Lina Lecompte, Justin Derickson, Lilah Fitzgerald and Nasiv Sall have been cast in the live-action TV movie.

Monster High follows Clawdeen Wolf (Harris), who was born half human and half werewolf, after she arrives at her new school, Monster High. She quickly makes friends with her classmates Frankie Stein (Balagot) and Draculaura (Damasen), and for the first time in her life, Clawdeen feels like she has finally found a place where she fits in and can truly be herself, despite keeping her human half a secret.

“When a devious plan to destroy Monster High threatens to reveal her real identity, Clawdeen must learn to embrace her true monster heart and find a way to save the day.”

Created by Garrett Sander, Kellee Riley and Glen Hanson, the Monster High toy line was launched by Mattel in 2010, and various animated projects have been released over the years.
