Official "MORTAL KOMBAT" YouTube Page Teases Next Entry In Series With Cryptic Video

The next chapter in Mortal Kombat has been teased by Ed Boon (Creative Director for Netherrealm Studios) and it has a lot to do with time.

Over on the official YouTube page for Mortal Kombat, a new 16 second video entitled “It Is Almost Time” has shown up, featuring a ticking clock. As the clock ticks upwards to 12, it stops at 11, struggles, then skips over 12 to one.

As we mentioned before, there’s speculation that based on the events of Mortal Kombat 11, we could be going the “retelling” route with Mortal Kombat 12, going back to the original game again. Or, we could see a full-on reboot, this time from an alternate timeline.

Well, you’re guess is as good as ours but we’re hoping for some more news soon.
