Petition Gaining Steam To Reshoot 'HALLOWEEN ENDS' As Some Fans Feel They Were "Lied To"
A lot…and we mean A LOT of fans of the Halloween franchise are pissed at what occurred in Halloween Ends and want to do something about it. So much so that an online petition over at Change.org has sprung up to get the ending of the film reshot.
Whether you saw the film in theaters or in the comfort of your own home on Peacock, fans have been pretty vocal on not enjoying the film for the most part. Now user DJ Jones has taken it upon himself to be the voice of the masses and start this petition. Here is what he has to say in regards to the film and why he set this up in the first place.
“Halloween Ends was NOT a film that the Fans wanted! This was an Origins Story! The Corey Story! We deserve a movie worthy of Michael Myers & the Halloween Franchise! We love this Franchise whole heartily and this version of a Halloween Movie left us sad, mad, disappointed, and Infuriated. Please give us a movie that shows us what Halloween is really about. Our Apex Predator.... the King of Slasher Movies Michael Myers! This movie gave us a weak pathetic Michael who needed his mask to survive! This isn't OUR MICHAEL MYERS! Our Killer is Strong , relentless, & unstoppable! Please right this wrong! We beg of you !!! “
The petition has already gathered over 5k signatures but isn’t likely to do anything other than be a place for upset fans to agree that the film was not what they expected or even wanted.
We highly doubt Blumhouse will change anything at all as the film has already pulled in pretty good numbers at the box office with $43.4 million its opening weekend.
