ROUND 2: 'GODZILLA VS. KONG' Sequel Will Smash Into Theaters Early 2024!
We’re ready for round 2, are you?!
We have official word that the sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong will be filming in Australia later this year and we have a firm release date of March 15, 2024!
How will this new sequel fit into the already established “MonsterVerse?” We are still a little unsure but we do know a few things already.
AppleTV is set to launch a Godzilla live action series that will feature the King Of The Monsters along with some other baddies. We also learned that director Adam Wingard was set to direct another MonsterVerse movie and its being speculated that the title is ‘Son Of Kong.’
The ending of Godzilla Vs. Kong left things open a bit and with Kong now ruling over the Hollow Earth, the film could focus on what he’s been up to down there. We have no hard facts at this time but will keep you posted as always.
Godzilla vs. Kong was the fourth film in the MonsterVerse, which kicked off with Godzilla in 2014 and continued with Kong: Skull Island in 2017 and Godzilla: King of the Monsters in 2019.
