XYZ Films And Flawless' "WATCH THE SKIES" (2022) BTS Shows How AI Will Change Dubbing Forever
No matter where you turn these days, you’re confronted with AI. It’s in your search results, in advertising, and with some trepidation, it has become one of the tools for filmmakers. Regardless of personal opinion, it is impossible to ignore the impact that AI can and has had on entertainment, both good and bad. While it is easy to find reasons to be against this emerging trend, there is also a fair share of use cases that could serve to benefit films, and in the case of XYZ Films’ and Flawless’ “Watch The Skies” it is a tool to help make dubbing look more natural.
After an extremely positive reception at Fantastic Fest, “Watch The Skies” (previously “UFO Sweden”) is about to embark on theaters nationwide and is taking advantage of AI to improve the dubbing process for the Swedish language film. While we can already hear some of you moaning about this news, we encourage you to check out the video below to hear Crazy Pictures producer Albin Pettersson talk about the implications of this for their film which you can see in theaters on May 9, 2025. Check out the video and film synopsis below, and we’ll see you in the future of filmmaking!
