Soska Sisters Directing Horror Flick Inspired by ‘Night of the Living Dead’ Titled ‘Festival of the Living Dead’

Our favorite Canadian Twin Horror directors, Jen & Sylvia Soska (Dead Hooker In A Trunk, American Mary) have teamed up with Tubi to bring a tale inspired by the O.G. of O.G. zombie films, ‘Night Of The Living Dead’ with the catchy title of ‘FESTIVAL OF THE LIVING DEAD.’

Deadline reports that Ashley Moore (I Know What You Did Last Summer) and Camren Bicondova (Gotham) will star in the film, inspired by the original George A. Romero classic.

In Festival of the Living Dead, “It has been over 50 years since Night of the Living Dead’s original zombie attack and the horrific event has become the subject of morbid nostalgia. Looking for fun, Ash (Moore) and her friends attend the Festival of the Living Dead.

“But the festival is disrupted when a blast of radioactive space dust hits the festival and they must defend themselves or be devoured by the living dead.”

Andre Anthony (The Night Agent), Christian Rose, Shiloh O’Reilly, Gage Marsh (You Me Her), Keana Lyn Bastidas (The Hardy Boys) and Maia Jae Bastidas (Rabbit Hole) also star in Festival of the Living Dead, expected to bite into Tubi this Fall.

Helen Marsh and Miriam Lyapin wrote the script.
