Netflix has announced the premiere date for its long-awaited fourth season of the sci-fi horror series, STRANGER THINGS, with the season to be split into two parts, according to Variety.

Series creators Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer said in a letter to fans that the first part of ‘Stranger Things 4’ would debut May 27, 2022 and the second half would air on July 1, 2022, with the show concluding with the fifth season.  You can see the newly released Netflix poster art images for the upcoming 4th season below:

Variety quoted: “Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for ‘Stranger Things,'” the showrunners, credited as the Duffer Brothers, said in a letter shared on Netflix’s blog. “At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but — as you’ll soon see for yourselves — we are now hurtling toward our finale. Season 4 will be the penultimate season; season 5 will be the last.”

Fans of the Netflix series have been eagerly awaiting the Season 4 premiere date, as the third season of the popular show dropped on Netflix more than two-and-a-half years ago. Netflix teased the news on their Twitter account on Wednesday, posting a photo of their billboard on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, with the cryptic phrase: “Every ending has a beginning” written upside down in a nod to the supernatural world, “The Upside Down,” seen in the series.
