BROOKLYN NINE-NINE’S STEPHANIE BEATRIZ AND VAMPIRE DIARIES PAUL WESLEY TO STAR IN HORROR-THRILLER “HISTORY OF EVIL” FOR SHUDDER

STEPHANIE BEATRIZ and PAUL WESLEY will appear in the Shudder Original horror-thriller, HISTORY OF EVIL.

AMC’s horror streaming service, Shudder, will release the upcoming horror-thriller, HISTORY OF EVIL, starring STEPHANIE BEATRIZ (In The Heights, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and PAUL WESLEY (Vampire Diaries) as a Shudder Original, according to a Deadline exclusive.

The film is being produced by XYZ Films, Two & Two Pictures, and JAKE SEIGEL. Beatriz and Wesley will also serve as executive producers of the film.

Deadline quotes:  “We are thrilled to be working with XYZ and Two & Two Pictures as we continue to spotlight new and emerging storytellers within this genre, and Bo’s thrilling film debut is no exception,” said EMILY GOTTO, VP of Global Acquisitions and Co-Productions for Shudder. “We are excited to have such talents as Stephanie and Paul on board to bring these dynamic characters to life and look forward to sharing the film with Shudder members.”

Directed and written by Iranian-American filmmaker BO MIRHOSSENI (Lovely Day, Maniac), HISTORY OF EVIL , tells the story of a family on the run from a corrupt state, who take shelter in a safe house with an evil past.  Filming is slated to begin in Spring 2022.
