'TRICK 'R TREAT' 2 In "Very Active Development" Says Writer/Director Michael Dougherty!
We’ve been waiting YEARS for this news and now we can for sure confirm that a Trick ‘R Treat sequel is in the works says writer/director Michael Dougherty during this years Beyond Fest.
Dougherty is working with Legendary on the planned sequel to Trick ‘r Treat, and though he made sure to mention that the movie isn’t greenlit, it is in “very active development.”
Over the years we’ve heard that a sequel was in the works but this is the first time we have confirmation from the director of the film.
On a related note, Trick ‘R Treat will be arriving in Regal Cinemas as well as AMC Theaters this Halloween which marks the first time the film will be on the big screen nation wide.
Trick ‘r Treat features five interwoven stories that occur on Halloween…
“An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband; and a mean old man meets his match with the demonic, supernatural trick-or-treater whose name is Sam.”
