VFX Artist ALEC GILLIS Joins Shout! TV's "DOUBLE TAKE" For Roger Corman's Birthday! (EXCLUSIVE Q&A)

Chances are, you’ve seen one of the many genre classics that Alec Gillis has had a hand in over the last forty years, but in case the name doesn’t ring a bell let us remind you. Getting his start at New World Pictures under the tutelage of Roger Corman, Alec Gillis has done VFX for films like “Cocoon,” Aliens” (in fact, many of the films in the franchise), “Demolition Man,” “Starship Troopers,” and “Godzilla vs. Kong.” And that’s just a fraction of the work he’s done which doesn’t include his time with Stan Winston, but you catch our drift and Gillis is a big deal.

Shout! TV and their latest series “Double Take,” which had a debut episode with Actor and Podcaster Catherine Corcoran (see our exclusive interview here) is coming back with another Double-Feature episode in celebration of Roger Corman’s birthday with Alec as the guest host. We have all the information about Alec’s upcoming episode, which premieres on Shout! TV on Friday, April 5, 2025, at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT. Not only that, Alec was gracious enough to answer a few of our questions about this career ahead of the episode and we are delighted to share that with you here!
