We're All Creatures Of The Night As "NOSFERATU" IMAX Offerings Are Evenings Only!
If you plan to see director Robert Eggers’ latest film, “NOSFERATU” in theaters and IMAX, get ready for a late night! Every AMC film screening in IMAX will be after 9 pm; we have the details below.
“Nosferatu” is probably the most anticipated film of 2024. When the film was announced for a December 25th opening date, it got a lot of people’s attention. Focus Features must have planned the OG Vampire tale to get folks in seats.
Tickets are now on sale for the Robert Egger’s remake and as we were looking to purchase a set for ourselves, we noticed that every IMAX showing at AMC theaters will be after 9 pm. Thinking this was just a fluke for the film’s premiere date only, we looked at other dates after the 25th and discovered that EVERY IMAX showing is after 9 pm. We checked here in California, then New York, Ohio, and Texas to see if this was only the case for our local AMC and we were pleased to discover that it looks like every IMAX screening is after 9 pm throughout the country.
Not all AMC’s have IMAX screens so you might have to take a drive to see this new flick in style but we highly recommend you do as Robert Eggers doesn’t disappoint when it comes to visually stunning pictures. The director wowed audiences with “THE VVITCH” and “THE LIGHTHOUSE” so expect “NOSFERATU” to do the same.
“Nosferatu” is described via IMDB as:
“A gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake.”
The film’s official poster even advertises that the movie can be seen in IMAX and we agree that this would be the best viewing experience. On top of that, AMC is selling a popcorn bucket for the film that is going to be a must for horror fans as it is a replica of the coffin our hero/villain, Count Orlok sleeps in. Check it out below.
NOSFERATU stars Nicholas Hoult, Emma Corrin, Willem Dafoe, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Lily-Rose Depp will be facing the terror that Bill Skarsgård will unleash as Nosferatu/Count Orlok in the film. Robert Eggers directed, wrote, and produced Nosferatu which has us extremely excited since we know Eggers does not skimp on being time-period accurate and will bring his “A” game to resurrect the legend of Nosferatu for modern audiences.
