Arnold Schwarzenegger Won't Be Back As The TERMINATOR Star Says "I'm Done"

Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed that he is not interested in returning to The Terminator in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Arnold has been a part of the Terminator franchise from the very begining and even in later films he contributed his likness via CGI and took on leading roles in both Genisys and Dark Fate, two movies that received negative reviews and performed poorly at the box office. A new approach is clearly needed, and if and when it happens, it will be minus the T-800.

"The franchise is not done. I’m done." Schwarzenegger said.

"I got the message loud and clear that the world wants to move on with a different theme when it comes to The Terminator. Someone has to come up with a great idea. The Terminator was largely responsible for my success, so I always would look at it very fondly. The first three movies were great."

"Number four [Salvation] I was not in because I was governor," he continued. "Then five [Genisys] and six [Dark Fate] didn’t close the deal as far as I’m concerned. We knew that ahead of time because they were just not well written."

As it’s been noted by Arnie, the franchise has been on a slump of great proportions due largely to the fact, in our opinion, that James Cameron has not directly written the scripts nor directed the films past Terminator 2: Judgment Day. We’re sorry to see Arnold go but maybe there’s more to the future John Conner and the resistance can bring to the table? We’ll have to wait and see.
