First Full Clip For 'EVIL DEAD RISE' Gives Us A Good Look At The Third Book Of The Dead

Director Sam Raimi made it known in ‘ARMY OF DARKNESS’ That there were at least three Necronomicons and the new entry to the Evil Dead franchise, ‘EVIL DEAD RISE’ is showcasing the third book. Director Lee Cronin is pulling all the stops for this flick and we dig it!

Cronin recently told SFX Magazine, “There’s direct connectivity between what happens in this story and the others. They’re in the same world – this is not a parallel universe in any way. It’s happening after Fede’s movie, and after Sam’s, but in a world where those stories have taken place.”

“The book that’s in this story is connected back to the past,” he continues. “If we look at Army of Darkness, and at the fact that there’s three books: Sam used one, Fede used one, and I said, ‘Y’know what, give me the third one, and let me go tell an Evil Dead story in that context.”

Unwrap that third “Book of the Dead” in a Cineworld Exclusive first-look clip below…
