History is full of horrific things from the Holocaust to Ted Bundy, and the facts of our past often make great fodder for the horrors in our future. Just take our obsession with true crime and the absurd amount of podcasts, documentaries, and “influencers” that have sprung up in the last 7 years from “Tiger King” to “My Favorite Murder,” our desire to explore the darkest facets of the human experience has created a thirst for more macabre media. For genre fans, the devil is in the details, or at least the craft of combining history with fiction to create a compelling adjacent version of the reality we know. From The Press Release

Horror fans, brace yourselves for Viral Haunt, the indie horror sensation that redefines the genre by blending gripping suspense,  historical intrigue, and the terrifying allure of the digital age. This groundbreaking film promises to take audiences on an unforgettable journey through a haunted mansion steeped in chilling secrets and shocking revelations.

At the heart of Viral Haunt lies an ambitious group of viral streamers, the Haunt Hunters, who set out to investigate the  notorious “Ripper Mansion.” But what begins as a content-driven exploration quickly descends into a horrifying struggle for survival as the mansion’s dark history intertwines with the lingering spirit of Jack the Ripper himself. Adding to the thrill, the film incorporates newly uncovered evidence about the identity of the infamous Victorian killer, Aaron Kosminski, (played by Tai White) merging fact with fiction to create an immersive and bone-chilling experience.

“Viral Haunt isn’t just a horror film,” say directors Natasha Tosini and Stephen Staley. “It’s a story about obsession—whether  with fame, history, or the unknown—and what happens when that obsession opens the door to unimaginable terror.”

What Sets Viral Haunt Apart:

Groundbreaking Historical Tie-Ins: The film incorporates scenes inspired by the latest findings surrounding Jack the Ripper,  offering audiences a unique blend of historical intrigue and cinematic horror. The connection to Aaron Kosminski, recently spotlighted in the media, adds a chilling layer of realism.

Immersive Horror in the Digital Age: By focusing on a group of influencers chasing viral fame, Viral Haunt provides a fresh perspective on the dangers of exploiting history and tragedy for online clout. The eerie Victorian setting amplifies the terror as the line between the past and present begins to blur.

Relevance and Timeliness: With the recent media frenzy surrounding Jack the Ripper’s identity, Viral Haunt couldn’t be more timely. The film taps into this renewed interest while delivering a gripping narrative that stands on its own.

Whether you’re a true crime enthusiast, a horror fanatic, or simply a fan of edge-of-your-seat storytelling, this is one film you don’t want to miss.
