'HOUSE OF THE DRAGON' Poster Shows Rhaenyra Targaryen Ready To Reign Fire - First Merch Revealed

HBO has released a poster for the upcoming Game Of Thrones prequel series "House Of The Dragon” which finds Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen, ready to reign down fire on all of Westeros.

"I will take what is mine... with fire and blood."

HBO's prequel series, House of the Dragon, will chart the rise and fall of House Targaryen, and this new poster spotlights Emma D’Arcy (Wanderlust) as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen along with one of the fire-breathing beasts of the title.

In addition, the first official tie-in merchandise for the show has been revealed, which includes Funko POPs of the main characters and Syrax the dragon.

We should be getting another trailer for the show sometime before its premier in August. For now, check out some of the first merch that has come out for the prequel series below.

"The prequel series finds the Targaryen dynasty at the absolute apex of its power, with more than 15 dragons under their yoke. Most empires—real and imagined—crumble from such heights. In the case of the Targaryens, their slow fall begins almost 193 years before the events of Game of Thrones, when King Viserys Targaryen breaks with a century of tradition by naming his daughter Rhaenyra heir to the Iron Throne. But when Viserys later fathers a son, the court is shocked when Rhaenyra retains her status as his heir, and seeds of division sow friction across the realm."

House of the Dragon stars Paddy Considine (Peaky Blinders) as King Viserys Targaryen, Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One) as Alicent Hightower, Emma D’Arcy (Wanderlust) as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Matt Smith (Doctor Who) as Prince Daemon Targaryen.
