James Morris and Colin Cunningham Share What Makes "HE NEVER LEFT" (2024) A Must-See Slasher (INTERVIEW)

Slasher films are a hallmark of the horror genre and have stayed relevant across many decades with some reinvention in between. The staying power of the Slasher emanates from our primal fear of someone we don’t know stalking us and then killing us. To make matters more terrifying, slashers wear masks, hiding their identity from their unsuspecting victims while denying them the last satisfaction of knowing who ended their lives. Like so many other aspects of the horror genre, the quality of slasher films can vary wildly, taking unique turns that sometimes pay off in spades.

Writer/Director, James Morris, and Actor Colin Cunningham know a little something about this as they are two of the creative forces behind DREAD Presents and Epic Pictures Group’s latest release, “He Never Left.” The two sat down with Macabre Daily to talk about bringing their slasher, Pale Face, to life and what separates their film from the rest of the pack. “He Never Left” will be in select theaters on 11/1 and Digital on 11/5 from DREAD and we will have a review up later this week!
