J.J. Abrams Reboot Of 'CONSTANTINE' Still In The Works Despite Warner Bros. Discovery's Recent Cuts

While Warner Bros. is having a major shakeup a new report suggests that the J.J. Abrams-produced Constantine reboot is actively moving ahead at HBO Max.

There have been little results from the partnership between J.J. Abrams and Warner Bros. though a number of projects - including some DC adaptations - remain in various stages of development.

While we've yet to see that rumoured Justice League Dark slate take shape, Deadline reports that Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav is a "fan" of Abrams' work. The trade notes that Angela Robinson's Madame X remains in development for HBO Max, though whether it will ultimately come to fruition is another matter altogether.

However, the good news is that the small screen Constantine reboot is said to be "on solid ground and moving along." The project will feature a diverse take on the title character, with British writer Guy Bolton also dreaming up a fresh approach to JC that's more in line with the Hellblazer comics.

We hope that Constantine is included in the big DCE Universe 10yr plan that was announced a few days back but time will tell.
