JOHN LANDIS Honored with Vincent Price Award at HOLLYWOOD HORRORFEST
John Landis is a name that should sound familiar to most horror fans. Famous for his work on such classics as An American Werewolf in London, Twilight Zone: The Movie, and Innocent Blood he has been a staple of many genres, especially horror and comedy. Well, it seems like decades of great work and even greater films have finally gotten Landis some more recognition as he prepares to be awarded the Vincent Price Award at this years Hollywood Horrorfest!

Acclaimed director JOHN LANDIS is honored with the prestigious VINCENT PRICE AWARD at the re-launched HOLLYWOOD HORRORFEST on Sun. Nov. 5. In Los Angeles. Celebrating his two iconic works AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON and MICHAEL JACKSON’S THRILLER, LANDIS will be presented the Award by Vincent’s daughter VICTORIA PRICE.
HOLLYWOOD HORRORFEST is the proud home of the official PRICE AWARD - an award that celebrates VINCENT PRICE’S unique artistic and iconic legacy by “honoring an artist whose work has achieved equally iconic status in the horror/fantasy genres”
VICTORIA PRICE will present the PRICE AWARD to Mr. Landis for these seminal works.
Afterwards LANDIS will sit down with festival head, MILES FLANAGAN, in a cosy ‘Johnny Carson-style’ conversation about the inspirations, challenges and history of both these enduring and influential classics. The event even comes with its own ‘chat show-style’ house band, THE SLAUGHTERED LAMBS, to keep the relaxed vibe going.
Prior to this VICTORIA will talk about her father, the real Vincent Price, through her uniquely personal stories and photos, and bring awareness to her father’s museum and art legacy.

The event is a fundraiser for the VINCENT PRICE ART MUSEUM.
