Lukita Maxwell Joins Blumhouse Horror Movie 'THEY LISTEN'

A new fright flick is on the way from Sony, Blumhouse and Depth of Field, John Cho (Searching) and Katherine Waterston (Alien: Covenant) have been set to star in They Listen, and Deadline reports today that Lukita Maxwell (“Shrinking”) has also come on board in a “top-billed role.”

Chris Weitz (American Pie) directs the film, set for theatrical release on August 25, 2023.

As far as plot details go, we haven’t heard a word yet but stay tuned as we are sure to bring those to you shortly.

Jason Blum, Chris Weitz and Andrew Miano are Producers on the upcoming film. Bea Sequeira, Dan Balgoyen, Britta Rowings and Paul Davis are listed as Executive Producers.

An Oscar nominee for writing 2002’s About a Boy, Chris Weitz’s directorial credits include Down to Earth, About a Boy, The Golden Compass, and Twilight: New Moon.
