MAX's "SALEM'S LOT" Remake Finally Coming In October!

It seems that the spirits of the spooky season are already bestowing their blessings upon us as we finally have a release date for the long-discussed “Salem’s Lot” remake! We here at Macabre Daily have been anxiously awaiting this news, especially after we had a chance to speak with Paul Drechsler-Martell during our Macabre Monthly episode in February (watch here). Now, Vanity Fair has an exclusive interview and photos of the upcoming Stephen King adaptation along with a release date of October 2024 just in time for Halloween. From the Vanity Fair article:

“The filmmaker believes that kind of outdoor venue would be the best setting to see his version of Salem’s Lot, but since it will be presented exclusively on Max, he proposes viewers find a way to simulate the communal experience in front of their TVs. ‘As with most horror movies, I think audiences really elevate the experience,’ he says. ‘So I think getting as many people as you can cram on the couch would be my preferred way to watch this.;”

We will surely be checking this out come October, and fair warning for those who want to avoid spoilers, the Vanity Fair article does cover some in-depth information about the adaptation so you may want to avoid reading if you want to keep yourself surprised, but do enjoy the exclusive First Look photos Vanity Fair collected!
