7 FULL MOON TITLES TO GRAB DURING MVD'S SALE!
When I think of Full Moon I think of being 7 years old and watching PUPPET MASTER movies and devouring VideoZones after each release. I probably rented more of those movies during my adolescent years than any other kind. I was so enamored with Full Moon Features I even interned there for a short time in Downtown LA getting paid with DVDs and parking. Full Moon has a special place in this cold horror heart, and thanks to MVD ENTERTAINMENT collectors can pad their collections for less during their FULL MOON / WIZARD SALE. Because we care about your finances and want you all to save where you can, we’ve put together a list of 7 titles you should grab while the sales going!

TOURIST TRAP | 1979
We don’t horror shame here at Macabre Daily, but if you haven’t seen TOURIST TRAP at this point we would highly recommend remedying that asap! A supernatural roadside attraction is a delight for those who revel in movies that offer a creepy atmosphere and unhinged performances. It is also a literal nightmare for those who have automatonophobia.
CASTLE FREAK | 1995
CASTLE FREAK is easily one of the best Full Moon films of all time. It’s a brutal film that packs a genuine emotional wallop proving as always that STUART GORDON (RIP) is a true master of horror, and when he and JEFFERY COMBS, and BARBARA CRAMPTON team up we as viewers are guaranteed a great time!
DEMONIC TOYS | 1992
While PUPPET MASTER may be the longest FULL MOON franchise, it’s not the only one that offered up tiny terrors targeted at kids. DEMONIC TOYS is what happens when toys take on the personas of foul-mouthed psychopaths murdering those that stand in their way. There’s more to it than that, and it’s just different enough from the other killer dolls on the roster that it stands out on its own rather than as a replica.
PIT AND THE PENDULUM | 1991
If for some odd reason you needed even more reasons to love STUART GORDON, look no further than his string of bangers from RE-ANIMATOR on. One of which is his (loose) adaptation of EDGAR ALLAN POE’s famous fright tale. This one stars a bald LANCE HENRIKSEN playing a bald Grand Inquisitor Torquemada. It’s worth grabbing just for that performance alone.
PUPPET MASTER 1-3 (3-DISC SET) | 1989-1991
A series that needs no introduction, and one of the top horror prequels from last month’s Macabre Monthly, and without question one of the longest-running franchise in horror and one of the largest universes of films. While the later ones sometimes vary in quality (I did a chronological series ranking on letterboxd) the first three films are stone-cold classics through and through. And a rare case where a sequel (the 3rd) is better than the original!
SHRUNKEN HEADS | 1994
This is one of the wackiest fucking horror movies you are ever going to see. Three kids get murdered and their decapitated and reanimated heads fly around and take vengeance. It’s almost like a superhero/horror movie, and the concept is as outrageous as it sounds. THIS is a film I want a reboot for!
TRANCERS | 1984
For those of you not planning to buy the Trancers 4K disc next October, or don’t have 4K capabilities, this is a great deal on one of Full Moon’s earlier and most entertaining films. It borrows from a lot of films while using those ideas to make something unique, and there is no better name for a hero than Jack Deth!
