Netflix Hits The JACKPOT And Goes All-In Announcing "DEVIL MAY CRY" Season 2!

Fresh off a killer debut on April 3, the streaming giant Netflix has announced that Adi Shankar and Studio Mir’s “Devil May Cry” series is getting renewed for a second season! This should come as no surprise to anyone who watched the 8-episode series that ended on a massive cliffhanger, and this ensures that we won’t just get more wisecracking antics from Dante, but also a foretold battle between him and his estranged brother, Vergil.

Here’s what Netflix had to say in their “Tudum” column:

“…adult animation title Devil May Cry proves that angst, attitude, and a stylish trench coat play well in every time zone. It racked up 5.3 million views in its first week streaming, hitting No. 4 and making the Top 10 in 87 countries. (Its release even boosted sales of the Devil May Cry video game series on Steam.) Demons beware.”

Our review of the series touches on the audacious fun the series embodies, while also recounting some missed opportunities to keep things simple and grassroots. None the less, this is great news for fans as we get more of the pizza-eating and demon-slaying Dante, hopefully sooner rather than later!
