New "Clown in a Cornfield (2025)" Trailer Brings Us Closer To Frendo! (TRAILER)
As much as we love Art and Pennywise, they can’t have all the fun. Evil clowns need to start branching out of the Northeast United States. Why not the Midwest? Enter Frendo, the other grinning, murderous clown who hunts teenagers in fictional Kettle Springs, Missouri, the setting of director Eli Craig’s upcoming “Clown in a Cornfield.” RLJE and Shudder have dropped a new trailer for the film, which you can see below.
We’ve warned you and warned you, but it looks like you can’t keep a good clown down. After making a splash at this year's SXSW, “Clown in a Cornfield” is set for a May 9th release, just over a month from now. Fans of author Adam Cesare’s landmark slasher book have been waiting years, and it’s almost here!
From the press release:
Quinn and her father have just moved to the quiet town of Kettle Springs hoping for a fresh start. Instead, she discovers a fractured community that has fallen on hard times after the treasured Baypen Corn Syrup Factory burned down. As the locals bicker amongst themselves and tensions boil over, a sinister, grinning figure emerges from the cornfields to cleanse the town of its burdens, one bloody victim at a time. Welcome to Kettle Springs. The real fun starts when Frendo the clown comes out to play.
“Clown in a Cornfield” releases nationwide May 9, 2025.
