It’s a new week, which means two new episodes of the Peacock original series “Teacup” have premiered. Last week we went over the basics within the first two episodes; our introduction to the characters, Arlo’s strange behavior after his disappearance, and the mystery behind the blue line and who painted it. After watching this week’s episodes, we can confidently say that now we’re getting into the good stuff. Filled with “ah-ha” moments and answers to questions that we’ve been theorizing. Remember, this is a spoiler-free review so you’ll have to watch to get those extra details you may be searching for.

Quite For No Reason

After what we learned from the previous episodes, we know that Arlo is possessed in some capacity, we just don’t know by what yet. His erratic behavior seems to subside at points to where he can still come through. Bringing it back to the present day and episode three, everyone is aware of the blue line and what happens if you cross it.

The Chenoweth and Shanley families decide to break off into groups in an attempt to find help or some sort of answer to what’s going on. Meryl, Arlo, and Nicholas (Luciano Leroux) head off into the woods after “Arlo” insists that he has a solution to all the strange things that have been happening. He leads them to an open spot in the middle of the forest where they come across what seems to be a crash site. As they’re roaming, they find themselves face to face with the man in the gas mask who we now know as “McNab.”

On the other end of the woods, James and Ruben make it to the Navarro farm seeking help and are shocked by what they find… After more investigation, James hears something coming from the basement. As he looks down into the pitch-black abyss, he is pulled down by something or someone. Things are taking an even more unusual turn when sinister secrets are presented between the two…

We come to find out (although we had an inkling) that James and Ruben’s wife Valeria (Diany Rodriguez) have been having an affair. Tensions become high as both couples are now aware of the internal adultery. Maggie and Val have split off together; the two women along with Ellen are standing out in the driveway and see a van approach in the distance. The man embellished in a bulletproof vest and badge steps out and walks towards the blue line and despises their warnings, he crosses it…

In The Heart of The Country

Even though we were given some answers in the third episode, now we’re really getting down to the nitty-gritty. Episode 104 definitely has a lot more “to give” and contains some important details, so we won’t try to give away too much (remember, no spoilers here.)

The key theme for this episode is one of the most important rules, don’t trust anyone. To to women’s surprise, the man who approached them from the van had crossed the blue line without a scratch on him. Odd don’t you think? He uttered the phrase “Now the hard part is going to be getting back over.” What could this mean for the future of the families stuck on the Chenoweth farm? We saw what happened to Claire (Holly A. Morris) after she crossed the line in earlier episodes and let’s just say it wasn’t pretty…

Maggie is in absolute shambles with the day they have had and the newfound information about her husband and Val. She takes matters into her own hands with the mystery man and aggressively brings him into the barn for “safekeeping” to ask him some questions. As a means to get him to talk, she resorts to violence which you could imagine wasn’t the best idea.

Ellen is watching everything with a close eye, but keeping quiet. Maggie and Val leave the barn to go meet up with the rest of their families to let them know the situation, while Ellen stays behind… Now if we tell you what happened in this next scene, that wouldn’t be very spoiler-free of us. Let’s just say that you really can’t trust anyone.
