"ROSARIO" Scares Up A Distribution Deal At Berlin Film Festival
Film festival season is often a crystal ball for film fans as it forecasts the films we are likely to see in the next 6-12 months. While these festivals are often for industry insiders and filmmakers, we are lucky to live in a time where information travels fast and furiously online. The second distribution deal inked at the Berlin Film Festival is for Emeraude Toubia’s first feature-length film, Rosario. The synopsis for the film is as follows.
“Rosario” stars Toubia in the titular role as a successful Wall Street stockbroker forced to spend the night with the body of her estranged grandmother Griselda after she abruptly dies. While waiting for the ambulance and her father Oscar, played by Zuniga, twisted and menacing supernatural forces possessing Griselda’s corpse begin their assault on Rosario as she becomes the target of a deadly family curse that spans generations.
The film stars genre favorite David Dastmalchian, and while we don’t have any more insights about potential release dates, we will keep you posted when we do. Read more about this over at The Hollywood Reporter!
