Sony Horror Flick 'THE INVITIATION' Puts A Modern Spin On The Brides Of Dracula!

The first official trailer for Sony’s ‘THE INVITATION’ was seen in theaters everywhere this weekend when it premiered before ‘The Black Phone', and this morning, Screen Gems has brought that trailer online!

IGN debuted the trailer today, and you can sink your teeth in below.

The Invitation is said to “tell the story of a young woman who is courted and swept off her feet, only to realize a gothic conspiracy is afoot.” The film will release on August 26, 2022.

Just remember this, the film is VERY much a Draucla tale but with a new spin on the premise. I mean, just because a guy is dead doesn’t mean he can’t get some lovin too.

Director Jessica M. Thompson tells IGN, “Don’t worry, as contemporary as the story is, there are still plenty of Easter Eggs in there for the hardcore fans. I’m curious to see if anyone will find them all…”

Here’s The Official Plot..

“After the death of her mother and having no other known relatives, Evie (Nathalie Emmanuel) takes a DNA test…and discovers a long-lost cousin she never knew she had. Invited by her newfound family to a lavish wedding in the English countryside, she’s at first seduced by the sexy aristocrat host.

“But Evie is soon thrust into a nightmare of survival as she uncovers twisted secrets in her family’s history and the unsettling intentions behind their sinful generosity.”

Nathalie Emmanuel (“Game of Thrones”), Thomas Doherty (“Gossip Girl”), Hugh Skinner, Sean Pertwee, Courtney Taylor, Alana Boden, and Stephanie Corneliussen star.
