SYNAPSE FILMS WILL RELEASE NEW RESTORATION OF ‘TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD’ ON BLU-RAY

Amando de Ossorio’s medieval zombie film, TOMBS OF THE BLIND (1972) will get a new Blu-ray restoration from Synapse Films in late 2022. The release will be a three-disc set with two Blu-ray discs, as well as an audio CD.

The 1972 genre film starred Lione Fleming, César Burner, María Elena Arpón, José Thelman, and Rufino Inglés, and follows a legion of 13th century evil knights who quested for eternal life by drinking human blood and committing sacrifices. Executed for their unholy deeds, the knights' bodies were left out for the crows to peck out their eyes. Now, in modern day Portugal, a group of people stumble on the Templars abandoned monastery, reviving their rotting corpses to terrorize the land.
