Universal Confirms 'Five Nights At Freddy’s' Streaming Release Date & Time Will Be Earlier Than Expected
New information for Blumhouse and Universal’s ‘FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S’ streaming release date have been confirmed as of today and it’s a bit earlier than expected. The film is directed by Emma Tammi and is based on the very popular video game.
Josh Hutcherson leads the Five Nights at Freddy as a troubled security guard who begins working at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, unaware that the business's animatronic mascots come to life at night and attempt to murder anyone inside.
Now, just ahead of Five Nights At Freddy's release , Universal has confirmed to MacabreDaily that the movie will debut on streaming a day earlier than originally expected. The movie will be available to stream on Peacock starting at 8 p.m ET on Thursday, October 26, which coincides with select preview screenings.
While it's hard to predict to what degree Five Nights At Freddy's streaming release will impact its box office, the film is already shaping up to be a strong performer theatrically. Deadline reports that the film is projected to take in around $40 million during its opening weekend, which would make it the second-best opening of this fall behind Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. Those Sift fans sure do pack a theater.
We’ll see if the streaming release plays into the films box office earnings but a win on Peacock is still a win for Universal. Time will tell.
