Vampires, Haunted Houses, and Serial Killers - Most Anticipated August 2023 Release

This is the month of the summer when I REALLY start wishing for pumpkin spice, cooler weather, and ghostly tales. I have already spotted some fall decor in the isles so I think it is safe to say that I am in the mood to read something spine tingling. While many veteran horror authors are holding out for release dates in September and October, there are still some new and exciting books hitting shelves this month. 

Here are my most anticipated frightful tales of horror coming to bookstores near you.

The Handyman Method: A Story of Terror by Nick Cutter and Andrew F. Sullivan (Aug. 8th)

When a young family moves into an unfinished development community, cracks begin to emerge in both their new residence and their lives, as a mysterious online DIY instructor delivers dark subliminal suggestions about how to handle any problem around the house. The trials of home improvement, destructive insecurities, and haunted house horror all collide in this thrilling story.

Fever House by Keith Rosson (Aug, 15th) 

When leg-breaker Hutch Holtz rolls up to a rundown apartment complex in Portland, Oregon, to collect overdue drug money, a severed hand is the last thing he expects to find stashed in the client’s refrigerator. Get chills and cool off with one of these new novels. I am in a vampire mood (as usual) and am looking forward to getting my hands on Vampires of El Norte by Isabel Cañas. Read it with me and let me know what you think!
