VCI ANNOUNCES FIRST 4K BLU-RAY RELEASE OF BOB CLARK’S ‘CHILDREN SHOULDN’T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS’

VCI Entertainment has announced plans for a brand-new 4K restoration of Bob Clark’s zombie film, CHILDREN SHOULDN’T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS, which will be released this October on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray.

In the film, a movie director and his troupe of actor friends vacation on a remote island where they dig up a corpse (named Orville) and jokingly perform a ceremony to resurrect it. It works! Interesting, garishly-colored zombie makeups and an offbeat counter-cultural feel make this an interesting curiosity.

The film stars Alan Ormsby, Valerie Mamches, Jeff Gillen, Anya Ormsby, and Paul Cronin, and the upcoming 4K Blu-ray release marks the boutique label’s first ever 4K Blu-ray release. The 4K Blu-ray of the film will be Region free, and the 2K Blu-ray will be Region A only.
