Warner Bros. Actively Developing New Film In 'I AM LEGEND' Series

News has come our way that Warner Bros. is actively developing a new film for ‘I AM LEGEND'.’

We never understood why Warner Bros never pulled the trigger on a sequel. The film did over $600 million at the box office but it has been stated by the original director, that he WOULDN’T return to the franchise. Still, this begs the question of how or when will a new film come about?

During our usual morning rummage for news, a juicy bit was stuffed into a article at  THR that details a lawsuit filed by Village Roadshow against Warner Bros. Pictures. It claims that the major studio is shutting it out from being a co-owner and financial partner on dozens of projects that are being developed based on movies they share the rights to in order to boost the value of its parent company’s streamer HBO Max.

Village Roadshow claimed it’s being excluded from several prequels, sequels or television shows that Warner Bros. has actively been developing based on shared rights, including Sherlock Holmes, the Ocean’s series, Ready Player One, Where the Wild Things AreYes Man, and… I Am Legend!

There are no details about the project as of this writing and is purely speculative.

But hey, it could lead to a pretty sick sequel. We’ll have more as we get it.
