Andy Edwards And Joss Carter Discuss Reviving "RUMPELSTILTSKIN" (2025) For Genre Fans (INTERVIEW)

Some of the fairy tales we were told as children are pretty messed up, and if you don’t believe us, we encourage you to revisit them to see just how twisted some of these tales are! This has led to many genre filmmakers adapting, or at least drawing inspiration from some of these stories and reminding audiences that the versions we were told as children were often softened for our fragile minds. Filmmaker Andy Edwards is no stranger to taking childhood stories and giving them an infusion of horror as he did last year in “Cinderella’s Revenge” (read our review here) and he’s applying that same energy to “Rumpelstiltskin,” which releases today on digital VOD from Miracle Media UK.

Andy and the man behind the Rumpelstiltskin makeup, Joss Carter, sat down with Macabre Daily to talk about reviving this lurid tale and making the titular character somewhat more sympathetic than he is often categorized.
