"ANGEL OF LIGHT" Gives Los Angeles A Beautiful But Horrific Look At Old Hollywood

A stunning immersive experience in the heart of Los Angeles

In the heart of the now nitty-gritty streets of Downtown LA, stands the Los Angeles theater. From the outside, one would assume that the inside looks just as gritty and dilapidated as the outside, and as you wait with your group to enter, your imagination can only run as wild as you let it. This is what one experiences as they wait for the new immersive experience, ANGEL OF LIGHT.

While waiting for our group to enter, I was able to talk to one of the creators for the event. The man was mysterious in nature as he did not give us his name but he explained to the group how excited he is to share with the world his creation that will soon become a motion picture. (Yes that is an exclusive for your peepers.) This is but a taste, a tease, a glimpse of a story. A story that we will hopefully be able to see on a big screen soon.

As we enter, we are stunned to see how absolutely beautiful the LA theater has been kept. From the lighting to just the overall decor of the event, the Los Angeles Theater came alive in more ways than one. The creators took full advantage in showcasing a vintage atmosphere. It’s almost too beautiful and you wonder how can this maze possibly terrify me when it looks this great? Yet it does.

As we continued into the theater, we were greeted with a beautiful cast of characters, the atmosphere gave off that the ghost of the theaters past from the 1930s or 40s, was escorting you to your destination. One could not help but admire the decor and the details in the clothing and makeup of the actors. sprinkled in between were black robbed hooded figures. Shadowing you. Scaring you. Whispering in your ear.

Our only concern during this event was that the placement of the bar as well as merchandise which was not planned out thoroughly. We mention the bar because we were given two tickets for drinks but not informed we could only get our drinks at the one bar provided during your walk through. So those with VIP passes, make sure you get both drinks because you will NOT be able to return to the bar once you pass it. The experience itself was memorizing but at the same time seemed rushed. We do understand that Angel of Light is the go to immersive experience this year in Los Angeles and the influx of so many guests can and will make you feel like you’re on a conveyor belt just being ushered through so the next group can have their turn. We would recommend planning your evening around Angel of Light as the event only lasts about an hour. There are a ton of things to do in Los Angeles so make sure you have other activities lined up to book end this one.

Angel of Light was such a great experience. From taking you thru the entirety of the historical theater, to going all the way down into the basement and taking the stairs back up to the main theater. The ending to our journey was just as spectacular and stunning as the beginning and we won’t spoil the ending for you, but just an advisory, they do use strobe lights for their grand finale, so if you are sensitive to that, please be prepared.

Angel Of Light has been extended until October 31st and we highly recommend you get your tickets asap.
