Archie Comics Invites You To Go To Horror Camp With New One Shot "CAMP PICKENS"
We all know summer is secretly the best season for horror, with campfire ghost stories, slashers menacing our peaceful lakeside retreats, and certain man-eating sharks terrorizing the beaches. If you're a fellow summer horror aficionado, Archie Comics has just the comic for you in this week’s one-shot, CAMP PICKENS! The anthology features breezy tales of the ridiculously haunted titular camp in Riverdale, where counselors learned long ago that you can't really make it through a season without losing a camper or six.
Inside CAMP PICKENS you'll find:
"Bug Juice" -- In the frame story by writer Jordan Morris (Jordan, Jesse, Go!) and artist Diana Camero (Five Nights at Freddy's), Jughead leads a group of campers into the darkest heart of Camp Pickens to find a mysterious drink that counselors think will ward off evil and misfortune. So they think!
"The Curse of Camp Pickens" -- Coolheaded Betty Cooper learns (the hard way!) that ghostly secrets have a terrible way of resurfacing in a chiller by writer Blake Howard (Punchline: The Gotham Game) and artist Carola Borelli (The Deadliest Bouquet).
"Down and Out and Death Cursed" -- Horror comedy that perfectly blends the tropes of slasher movies and classic Archie comics by writer Tim Seeley (Hack/Slash) and artist Mike Norton (Battlepug).
