"BAMBI: THE RECKONING" (2025) Turns Saletn's Deer From Delightful To Diabolical (TRAILER)
For the most part, we assume that when people hear the name “Bambi” they think of the 1940s Disney film. You wouldn’t be outright wrong in this assumption, as the 1940s film is likely more well-known than its source material, but for Public Domain purposes “Bambi” refers more to the 1923 story from Felix Salten, "Bambi: A Life in the Woods.” While we haven’t read Salten’s original story, we are quite familiar with the Disney version and if someone had told us 20 years ago that Bambi would be made into a ruthless, natural predator we may have laughed in your face, it turns out, Bambi is no laughing matter as is evident in the newest trailer for “Bambi: The Reckoning” from ITN Studios and Producers Scott Chambers and Rhys Frake-Waterfield who have been behind the Poohniverse aka Twisted Childhood Universe.
The latest trailer plays out like “Jurassic Park” with Bambi taking on the role of the T-Rex and Raptor rolled into one. As silly as it may seem to have a killer deer, Bambi is an imposing figure here that looks to be the size of a moose and has some facial deformities offering a more menacing mug than your average deer. There’s no release date yet for the film directed by Dan Allen with a script from Rhys Warrington, but we will be sure to update you when this deer gets closer to our headlights!
