"IT FEEDS" (2025) Explores The Root Cause Of Demonic Possession (TRAILER)
The popularity of horror comes with more positives than negatives, and one of the most common challenges in such an active genre is finding ways to innovate without being redundant. Some sub-genres, like slashers and possession films, feel like they’re a dime a dozen whereas big creature features and witch films often seem to be less frequently touched on topics. We mentioned possession films because they happen to be one of the most common sub-genres of the last decade, and for good reason. Our relationship with religion as a Global society is changing, and many of us are looking for ways to explain some of the awful things that are happening in our everyday lives. Horror has been and will always be a safe way to confront fear and uncertainty, but the rise of possession films certainly has some correlation to our modern zeitgeist. “It Feeds,” from Black Fawn Distribution and Writer/Director Chad Archibald explores the reasons for possession, and how real-world actions may inform supernatural occurrences.
Check out the trailer and details below to learn more about the film which stars Ashley Greene and Shawn Ashmore, and get ready as “It Feeds” is slated to reach theaters on April 18th, 2025, and a Blu-Ray release to follow in the Fall!
