(EXCLUSIVE) 'BELOW THE DARKNESS' Re-tells A Family Ghost Story That's Truly Disturbing
THIS GUYS PERSONAL HORROR STORY - AND THE WAY HE TELL IT IS SEVERELY UNDERRATED!
We’ve met and talked with a lot of horror and paranormal fans running MacabreDaily. It’s a veritable waterfall of horror news and press releases, and announcements that sometimes we lose track of the days. One thing that snaps us back into shape every time is a indie horror feature or series with a unique twist. That’s where ‘BELOW THE DARKNESS’ comes in.
Imagine this... Decades ago you and your family underwent an extraordinary experience that was at once totally fascinating, and also completely terrifying. For years everybody you ever told the story to said something like, "This has to become a movie. People need to hear about this." Well, that is exactly the situation for Ryan Silverberg - the creator of a hidden gem of a Youtube horror channel called, 'Below The Darkness'. A channel which is shockingly ignored and underrated - and we think you'll agree.
Produced, animated, and narrated by Silverberg, Below The Darkness takes the viewer through a first-person account of what he and his family went through 30 years ago. The telling of the story is accompanied by stylized animation, extended virtual sets, haunting music (composed by Silverberg), and moments that hit all the right pressure points and will send literal shivers down your spine. The recounting of his story is visceral, straightforward, extremely descriptive, and will have you begging to hear what happened next.
Intended to be a 3-part series, Silverberg (who himself is a music producer for the Ghostbusters: Afterlife mobile video game, as well as the keyboardist and manager of the world-renowned flashback Back to the Future band 'The Flux Capacitors', and a producer of the most popular parties at San Diego Comic-Con) just hasn't had the time to work on the second installment of Below The Darkness. But with enough support from the viewers, he just may jump back in to continue the project and release more.
So without further adieu, here is the first episode of ‘BELOW THE DARKNESS’
