Bruce Campbell Says We Are Getting An Animated "EVIL DEAD"!

There are few names in horror as instantly recognizable as Bruce Campbell. His turn as Ash Williams in three “Evil Dead” films as well as three seasons of a series on STARZ are not just iconic, they are essential viewing for any fans of the genre. While the new films have taken off in their own direction, it seems that live-action isn’t the only medium we can expect to see slain deadites on. According to reporting coming from Entertainment Weekly, the chin, er we mean the man himself had this to share about the potential for an animated “Evil Dead”.

“Campbell also stated that he likely won't appear as Ash again in a significant live-action capacity, but he's not finished with the character altogether. "We are developing an animated version, like a series," he said. ‘I'll do that. I'll do Ash's voice all day long, because my voice hasn't aged as much as I have.’”

The article also talks about how we can expect at least two more live-action films in the storied franchise even if Campbell himself will only reprise the role in the animated version. It will be interesting to see how this pans out, and to what extent this animated version will be based on the films or carve it’s own path in the franchise canon.
