ESP Unleash New Super Limited Edition Pyrograph NOSFERATU Guitar!

As a musician, this guitar is on my MUST OWN lists for sure. I mean, how can it not be?!

3 days ago, the folks at ESP Guitars unveiled a brand new guitar that will take a big BITE out of any competition.

Here’s the rundown on the ESP USA Noseferatu.

Only 15 of the Dumitru "Dino" Muradian-designed guitars will be made, each carrying a hand-burned image of Nosferatu from the 1922 film and a host of high-end appointments

The ESP USA Nosferatu is a limited-edition guitar created as a collaboration between the luthiers at the ESP USA Shop in California and acclaimed artist Dumitru “Dino” Muradian. The fine artwork on this guitar is applied via Muradian’s innovative and completely unique technique in burning highly-detailed artwork into wood by hand, known as pyrography. The artwork on the ESP USA Nosferatu is hand-created by Muradian, and quantities of this model is limited to only 15 guitars worldwide.

The ESP USA Nosferatu is a handcrafted instrument built by the experienced luthiers at ESP USA’s North Hollywood, CA facility, using the finest tonewoods and components. Based on the Eclipse body shape, it features a mahogany body with maple top, a three-piece thin U-shaped mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard with 22 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets and split flag inlays. Accenting the body and matching headstock is a single-ply cream binding. The ESP USA Nosferatu implements set-thru construction at traditional 24.75” scale. The ESP USA Nosferatu includes a special set of high output Seymour Duncan Black Winter pickups, hand-wound in the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop by legendary pickup builder Maricela “MJ” Juarez. Rounding out the components are a TonePros locking bridge and tailpiece, a bone nut, and Sperzel tuners.

After the guitar is built, the artist uses the guitar as the canvas for his detailed artwork. Under magnifying lenses, Muradian painstakingly creates each piece of musical instrument art with an unprecedented level of depth, dimension, texture, and expression in each piece. The artwork is situated on both the body and the headstock of the guitar, taking advantage of each instrument's unique dimensions to produce artwork that perfectly complements its shape.

Dino Muradian started his lifelong focus on pyrographic art in 1965 in his native Romania. Departing the country amidst political turmoil in 1983, he eventually emigrated to the USA. Soon thereafter, he established himself as a serious artist by doing impressive woodburned portraits and reproductions, but soon realized that the limitations of typical tools like standard soldering irons wouldn’t allow him to do his best work, so he created his own unique pyrography tool that he could apply in different positions for intricate shading and other precise techniques. In addition to the ESP USA Pyrograph Series, Muradian has created artwork on a number of customized ESP guitar models going back to the 1990s, and his acclaimed earlier work includes a wood burned version of the George Lynch Skulls & Snakes signature model, as well as an EX-shaped deer skull motif he created for Metallica’s James Hetfield.

The ESP USA Pyrograph Nosferatu is available for £14,199 (approximately $18,525).
