Fallout is a game that takes the end of the world and ads some pretty fantastical creatures and characters to its apocalyptic landscape, so when news of a actual Tv Series was in the works for the open world game from Bethsheda studios, our ears perked up faster than a Deathclaw.

Today via Deadline we have learned that the folks over at ‘Kilter Films’, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, will be joining the duo showrunner team of Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel) and Graham Wagner (Silicon Valley) have come aboard as showrunners. for the series as well as Nolan directing the pilot episode for Amazon Prime.

The series, as of this writing, does not have an official premier date but we’re guessing later in the fall this year sometime would work.

The site goes on to describe the upcoming series as follows:  “It is serious and harsh in tone, yet sprinkled with moments of ironic humor.”

Fallout, the TV series, is from Amazon Studios and Kilter Films in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks, with executive producers  Nolan, Joy and Athena Wickham for Kilter Films; Todd Howard for Bethesda Game Studios’ and James Altman for Bethesda Softworks.

Fallout is one of the greatest game series of all time,” Joy and Nolan said at the time. “Each chapter of this insanely imaginative story has cost us countless hours we could have spent with family and friends. So we’re incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard and the rest of the brilliant lunatics at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life with Amazon Studios.”
