Released in 1954, the Creature From The Black Lagoon is one of the most iconic monsters in history. The film follows a group of scientists in the amazon jungle who come upon the ancient creature. Their attempt to capture the creature prove disastrous, and leads to a number of deaths and injuries. The film spawned two sequels, Revenge of the Creature (1955), and The Creature Walks Among Us (1956).
