"GHOSTBUSTERS: SPIRITS UNLEASHED" Now Haunting PC and Consoles [Trailer]

We have to admit, the idea of being a Ghostbuster has always been cool. The gear, driving the Ecto 1, and of course living in that rad Firehouse in New York, have been dreams of many fans of the films. Now is your chance to live out that dream in the new game “Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed”.

The game is now available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC via the Epic Games Store. Accompanying the release is the launch trailer featuring Ray Stantz and Winston Zeddemore themselves, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson.

In Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Ray and Winston open the Firehouse to the next generation of Ghostbusters. An asymmetrical game of hide and seek, the 4v1 setup sees players either playing as part of a team of new Ghostbusters or a singular Ghost. Spirits Unleashed not only allows players to enjoy the game solo or with up to four friends, but also has an online and offline single-player mode available in the form of AI assisted play.

The objective in Spirits Unleashed is pretty self-explanatory: as a Ghostbuster, you’ve got to catch a Ghost that’s haunting a location with your trusty ghost trap and tools. Use the PKE Meter to sniff out rifts that act as the Ghost’s spawn points and destroy them with your Proton Pack’s particle thrower before the Ghost completes their haunt. As you progress, you’ll unlock cosmetics and upgrades for both Ghostbusters and Ghosts to evolve their gameplay experiences.

Meanwhile, as the Ghost you have multiple abilities at your disposal, including possessing objects, sliming Ghostbusters and more. You can choose from up to five Ghosts types with unique skills, ultimate abilities, and minions fueled by ectoplasm. Fly around public locations and possess an inordinate amount of inanimate objects to evade pursuing Ghostbusters. Frighten citizens until they flee in fear, prank unsuspecting Ghostbusters, and hide your rifts to spawn safely in case you get trapped.

The more you play Spirits Unleashed, the more the story arc is revealed. Follow the needs of Ray Stantz and Winston Zeddemore (played once again by Aykroyd and Hudson) to uncover cutscenes that “build to an exciting conclusion!”
