Director Roland Emmerich has a major issue with Earth it seems. Dude is always trying to destroy us. First it was with Aliens in “Independence Day” (thank God for Jeff Goldblum) then sent a massive storm to earth in “Day After Tomorrow” and now he’s bringing a whole MOON to finish the job in his new Sci-Fi disaster, “Moonfall”.

Lionsgate, earlier today, released a short teaser trailer for the film and thanks to IGN for debuting this sneak peek.

In Moonfall, “a mysterious force knocks the Moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it.

“With mere weeks before impact and the world on the brink of annihilation, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler (Academy Award winner Halle Berry) is convinced she has the key to saving us all – but only one astronaut from her past, Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson) and a conspiracy theorist K.C. Houseman (John Bradley) believe her.

These unlikely heroes will mount an impossible last-ditch mission into space, leaving behind everyone they love, only to find out that our Moon is not what we think it is.”

The cast also includes Josh Gad, Michael Peña, Kelly Yu, Donald Sutherland and Charlie Plummer. Moonfall will be released in US theaters on February 4, 2022.
