JEFF DANIEL PHILLIPS Talks About Independent Filmmaking And Getting "CURSED IN BAJA" (INTERVIEW)
One of the most exciting things about genre cinema is seeing the different players move around different parts of the filmmaking process. Actors become Directors, Directors become Producers, and Producers sometimes veer into writing, which means that a wealth of experience gained through different perspectives and roles can infuse new life into genre films from people who’ve made their career in it. One such actor is Jeff Daniel Phillips. Having worked for decades in front of the camera in some of your favorite genre films and shows, the actor has taken his talents behind the camera for his first feature-length directorial debut, “Cursed in Baja” from Anchor Bay Entertainment.
Releasing on October 29, 2024, on VOD and then on December 10, 2024, Jeff was gracious enough to spend some time with us to talk about making “Cursed in Baja”, getting some old industry friends to chip in, and what it felt like returning to his hometown of Chicago to screen his film. You can pre-order “Cursed in Baja” on physical media and check it out your favorite PVOD service tomorrow!
