Official Plot Synopsis Revealed For 'TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE' Sequel From Netflix - Full Teaser Trailer Released!

Over the weekend, the fine fiends over at Netflix dropped the first images and trailer for the upcoming ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ sequel they have in store for us coming to the streaming service, February 18, 2022!

Today we have the full plot run down for ya and in case ya missed it, the full trailer as well.

Alvarez previously explained this new vision of Leatherface to EW, “It’s basically the same character, who is still alive. Our take on it was this guy probably disappeared after everything he’s done. You know, how do you catch a guy who has a mask? Once he removes the mask and runs away, it’s very easy for him to hide somewhere. This story will pick it up many, many years after the original story. He’s been in hiding for a long, long time, trying to be a good person.

“These people arriving in this town are going to awaken the giant,” Alvarez exclaims.

The synopsis also officially acknowledges the return of original heroine Sally Hardesty, with actress Olwen Fouéré (Mandy) taking over the role from the late Marilyn Burns.

Here’s the new logline and full synopsis…

“After nearly 50 years of hiding, Leatherface returns to terrorize a group of idealistic young friends who accidentally disrupt his carefully shielded world in a remote Texas town.”

“Melody (Sarah Yarkin), her teenage sister Lila (Elsie Fisher), and their friends Dante (Jacob Latimore) and Ruth (Nell Hudson), head to the remote town of Harlow, Texas to start an idealistic new business venture. But their dream soon turns into a waking nightmare when they accidentally disrupt the home of Leatherface, the deranged serial killer whose blood-soaked legacy continues to haunt the area’s residents — including Sally Hardesty (Olwen Fouéré), the sole survivor of his infamous 1973 massacre who’s hell-bent on seeking revenge.”

Olwen Fouéré (Mandy) is Sally Hardesty and Mark Burnham (Lowlife) is Leatherface.

David Blue Garcia (Tejano) directed the movie for Legendary, which was written by Chris Thomas Devlin and filmed last year.
