"PHICTION: Tales from the World of Phantasm" expands the world of the Tall Man
Phantasm is a franchise that is often left out of the horror conversation. Perhaps it is because of the still relative obscurity of the movie and its sequels, and frankly, we think this is criminal. Phantasm is still one of the most original concepts in the horror genre and has given us iconic figures like the late Angus Scrimm and his menacing “Tall Man” as well as the unforgettable silver balls of death. Now, series creator and all-around awesome dude Don Coscarelli is releasing a series of short stories all taking place in the Phantasm universe. From the press release:
Don Coscarelli today announced that "PHICTION: Tales from the World of Phantasm," a collection of short stories set in the Phantasm universe is coming out. Purchasing info can be found at www.DarkDel.com. This book launch, aligning with the 45th anniversary of Phantasm's original release, will be marked by an event at Dark Delicacies, featuring a book signing with Reggie Bannister. Fans will also have unique opportunities for photos with the Phantasm 2 ‘Cuda car and Coscarelli's own "Spacegate Poles." The book signifies Coscarelli's venture into literature, expanding the Phantasm world through new narratives.
While the pre-sale above has now sold out, we are hopeful to see what this collection entails as it releases in the coming months!
