Second Sight Films Brings Peach Fuzz Home In New Limited Edition Blu-Ray Of "CREEP" (2014)

Arguably the best thing to happen since the dawn of a new century is the revitalization of independent horror. From streaming services like Shudder and Screambox to indie distributors like Wild Eye Releasing and RLJE Films it seems that no matter where you turn, there are new horror creators and outlets to be found. In 2014, this wasn’t exactly the case. Independent horror was emerging as a dominant part of the discourse due to the rise of streaming services and the desire for content to fill those virtual libraries. Much like the boom of genre films that arrived at the start of the VHS-era, horror was essentially there to drive interest into a new medium of consumption and the byproduct of course is more content from more diverse places. It is with this context that the world experienced “Creep,” the 2014 found footage film from Patrick Brice and Mark Duplass that much like the title says, creeped us the hell out.

As they always seem to do, the fine folks at Second Sight Films know what films us genre fans hold dear and have announced a new Limited Edition Blu-Ray set of “Creep” to be released this December! Check out the press release below for further details, and be sure to pre-order your copy over at Second Sight’s web store so you don’t miss out on these sexy LE sets!

From The Press Release

Lauded as one of Empire’s 50 best horrors of the 21st Century Creep has been described as ‘Among the funniest and scariest horror-comedies of this century’ (Deep Focus Review) and now the acclaimed horror is the next in line for the Second Sight Films Limited Edition treatment this winter.

This creepy feature is directed, co-written by and starring Patrick Brice as cash-strapped videographer Aaron, who answers an online ad for a one-day job in a remote mountain town and heads deep into the unknown, documenting the journey on his trusty camera. On arrival, he meets his new employer – Josef – played in a wickedly unhinged turn by Mark Duplass, who shares the brief… he’s a dying man who wants Aaron to film his video message for his unborn child…

But as the day progresses, his requests get stranger and then darker and his behaviour become increasingly more bizarre… dare you watch the footage that unfolds?
