So What's Going On With A24's "CRYSTAL LAKE" Series?

Unless you’ve been tied to a rock at the bottom of a lake, there is a good chance you’ve heard about A24 and Peacock joint venture to bring the Friday the 13th series to TV. The series is titled “Crystal Lake” and details on the series have been sparse, but somewhat concerning over the last few months. The series has seen waves of announcements and departures, with the most reported being when Hannibal’s Bryan Fuller departed the show over a month ago. Now, it seems that new details have emerged about the troubled production, and what the future may hold for the series.

The Wrap has published a lengthy and well-researched article about what has gone on including interviews with crew involved with the production. Sadly, that report is behind a paywall, but the fine folks at Bloody Disgusting have done a bang-up job of capturing some of the most important elements. From the sound of things the series isn’t totally cooked, but it needs a vital rejuvenation!
