Mike Flanagan's "THE EXORCIST" Movie Releases On A Horror Holiday!
Is Mike Flanagan going to save The Exorcist franchise for Blumhouse? It’s still too early to tell, but hopes are high that Flanagan can resurrect interest and box office dollars in the prolific horror franchise. While the interwebs have been buzzing after he was announced to take the helm, it is still unclear what Flangan will do with the franchise and if it will perform better than 2023’s The Exorcist: Believer.
Deadline is reporting that Universal Pictures has blessed this film with a release date, one that many horror fans already covet, Friday the 13th. To be precise, March 13, 2026, is when we can expect to see Flanagan’s Exorcist. That day is a ways away, but what was shared in the Deadline article was that “The film is described as a “radical new take” on the venerable horror franchise “ and “The filmmaker and producers say their new movie is not a sequel to any previous Exorcist film and that it charts a new course for the legendary franchise.” A release date isn’t much to go on, but at least we now know when we can expect a final product!
